This document is designed to help Care Homes understand the new Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA or Act) and their consequent new responsibilities. It also contains advice on documentation you will need to put into place to ensure that you can manage various aspects of the Act.

If you are interested in receiving training on the Mental Capacity Act and how it relates to care home settings ECCA recommends that you contact one of the following training providers.
